RANDYGRAM – VISUALIZING SUCCESS
When we set out to accomplish our goals, one of the first things we must do is to be able to visualize success. Reaching a goal requires that we believe that we can attain it. If we are unable to see ourselves as successful, we simply won’t get where we want to be. Simply put, we can only accomplish what we can first imagine.
The confidence that you can reach your goal is a prerequisite to actually achieving it. But more than that, once you can see yourself accomplishing your goal almost nothing can stop you. You will naturally do the things that result in success. The concept I am describing is not to be confused with wishful thinking, which is a passive approach. I am speaking rather about absolute belief and commitment to your goals.
Dr. Maxwell Maltz was a plastic surgeon who wrote the book Psycho-Cybernetics about this concept. Let’s keep this quote of his in mind: “When you see a thing clearly in your mind, your creative ‘success mechanism’ within you takes over and does the job much better than you could do it by just conscious effort or willpower.”
Close your eyes so you can see your goal.
