I am a seasoned management, marketing and loyalty pro. I have been part of startups, turnarounds, mergers, restructurings, hostile takeovers and even bankruptcies.  Some will have surmised by now that most of that experience was gained over thirty years in the airline and travel industry, known for its volatility.  I am a dedicated note taker and I read extensively on topics related to business, management, leadership and innovation.  Over the years I have tried to come up with various ways to share my thoughts and observations.

This blog contains a format I used, particularly when managing groups of people who were scattered across broad geographic areas who did not often have the opportunity to sit in the same room for meetings, briefings or Q & A’s.  Randygrams became a complement to the stream of memos on process, procedure and news from the home office.

While originally for a small group of folks in my department, readership spread.  In several organizations, I soon had requests from other people, department heads and administrators asking to be added to the distribution list.  I was happy to oblige and began to think more broadly about my audience.

I hope you will find some of these useful, either because they bring a new perspective or because they reinforce something you already feel strongly about.
